Incorporating tenebrism and photorealism styles, and classic oil multiple glazing technique, the painting features a father, who is the scout leader, presenting the Eagle Scout award to his son, with his son looking directly into the eye of his mother at the opposite side of the painting. The work is meant to illustrate the dedication and commitment that goes into obtaining the Eagle Scout award, not only in the Scout, but his parents.
